Yeap! As most of you have known, I've just came back from Japan a week ago.

The whole experience was awesome because we managed to get a taste of a huge range of aspects of the Japanese culture. There was tradition, there were sights, and how could I forget, SHOPPING! :D We landed in Osaka first, then travelled to other cities/states and finally ended up in Tokyo.

This trip was fun, but honestly I enjoyed Perth much much more. Heh.

It was autumn there, so the weather was pretty cold. Perhaps anything between 4-12 degrees throughout the day. And guess what, the whole land was adorned with such beautiful autumn leaves! It's the kinda things you'd see on TV and never imagine yourself to witness with your own eyes man.

I'm a sucker for beautiful things like these, so obviously I enjoyed sightseeing instead of touring the city. I nearly cried when we were forced to leave this mountain/cliff/whateveryoucallit (the 2nd pic on the right) due to the rain. It was so so so jaw-dropping that it gave me a huge sense of grandeur. You wonder why Singapore never has these places of nature.

Sadly though, I didn't get to go up Mt. Fuji cause of the bad weather. Disappointed!


The people there are extremely courteous. It's amazing how they rattle on for half a minute (especially the cashiers!) even though they know you probably don't understand a single word. And you can NEVER find an ugly Japanese girl on the streets. I swear, never!!

Just so you know, the picture on the top right hand is a picture of free-roaming deers outside a temple. There are hundreds of them all around the place and nobody actually own them or anything. They go up to and expect you to feed them. And their crap are like black walnuts that shoot out by the dozens at a minimum of 60km/h. OKAY I KNOW, DISGUSTINGLY FUNNY. HAHA! Anyway, we got to each authentic Takoyaki balls that originated from that place too (2nd pic from top on right) and it taste nothing like the ones you eat in Singapore. The closest fit would be the ones you find in Takashimaya.



I got a chance to sit a bullet train. I know, I know. You guys must be like, "Wah!! Pearlyn tell me the train fast anot?!?! *waves hands around your head excitedly*". Haha, I'm gonna spoil things abit. It's really smooth so it feels slower than the MRT. But things were moving real rapid outside the window!

And you were allowed to bring meals onto the train to eat. The seats in there were like ones on airlines. The thing about the Japanese is that they're so disciplined! Noticed how the streets are so clean and nobody ever gets robbed. I visited a village and the various farmers actually put their crops in this stall on the side of the road for people to buy. And the amazing thing is, nobody tends the stall. You can just go up, grab your favourite veggie, and put your money in this box at the corner and leave. Totally amazing.


Okay, I hate my sister. She deleted all the pictures that I took from Universals Studios. But it was quite fun I guess. Heh.

Anyway, Disneyland Japan can never hold a candle to the one in Hong Kong man. It was huge huge huge!! (Oh btw, I saw Mr and Mrs Leong's disney cardholders selling there!! Bottom right picture.) I didn't specifically enjoy any ride. But I was so happy to know they had a POTC attraction!! Any true fan would recognise the queuing area to be decorated as the Swan's residence. Pointless ride, however extremely cool for a huge lover of POTC.



On one of the nights, we got to stay in this hot spring hotel! :D The decor of the hotel room was like a typical Japanese house. The hot spring was super super comfortable. Made me feel so light and refreshed. You had to be nude though. So no pictures, sorry. Heh.

And every hotel you goto, they'd have a set of Japanese pyjamas that you sortof wear to sleep at night. It's like a sleeping robe, Japanese style you know? Oh! If you ask me what's the coolest thing I've seen in Japan, it'd be their toilets. I swear they're so cute! They have like seat warmers, these sprays inside that cleans your ahem, and even produces sounds of flowing water or whatever to cover up the ugly noises that you make when you do your thing. And they're like everywhere!! Hahahahaha! I'm getting excited over toilets. How gross is that.

Well, that's pretty much my whole trip.
